A Better Banana Bread (Of course there are chocolate chips)


Everyone LOVES this recipe- no debate!

Ingredients:

1.5 cups all purpose flower

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

4 bananas mashed (slightly over ripe is best)

3/4 cup sugar

1/4 cup apple sauce

3 tablespoons canola oil

1/2 to 1 cup vegan dark chocolate chips

Directions:

Preheat over to 350 degrees and use a vegan cooking spray to cover 9" x 5" loaf pan. Mash bananas (leaving a few small lumps) and beat in sugar applesauce and oil. Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl then mix into the bananas mixture. Once mixed stir in chocolate chips to taste and spoon into bread pan or into lined muffin tins if you prefer.

If you make muffins they will take about 20 minutes. For Banana bread you will need to bake for approximately 50 minutes to an hour, using a tooth pick to make sure it isn't runny. It will naturally be a more moist bread due to the applesauce and I have yet to find anyone who doesn't love this recipe.
